Police Community Support Officer

My name is Sarah Blacow and I consider myself very fortunate to be the first community support officer for the Windermere Area.

I was born and bred here, then left with my parents in 1971 but returned 17yrs ago with my own family. I'm hoping many readers have seen me walking around this lovely area of ours, some times in the company of P.C Robson who has been my fantastic tutor.

My role is a new one to the area and still quite new to the force so it has to be adapted to each area's needs whether it is youth disorder, litter or even dog fouling. So problem- solving can be an important part of my job. I hope I am an approachable uniformed presence to help with any community issues that come up.
