Touchstone Toddlers 4th Anniversary

Just over 4 years ago a few friends had a dream to start a toddler group in Windermere, they found out that Goodly Dale School were also thinking about such a group and with the help of Cumbria Community Foundation, the Taverners, Neighbourhood Forum and Lakeland Ltd, that dream became a reality. So in January 2004 Touchstone Toddlers opened its doors in the school hall. The toddlers have such fun and many children have gone on happily to nursery classes since then.

In October 2006 we were awarded a lottery grant under the Awards For All scheme which enabled us to purchase train and carriage room dividers, a large wooden car, a climbing frame and slide and many other items to enhance the learning through play of each toddler. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped us along the way. Also a big thank you to all the toddlers and their carers who come along each Tuesday afternoon at 1.30pm until 3.00pm (during term times). We welcome all from birth to 3 years old.

Our toddlers play with the slide and car, make tea or a meal in the house and enjoy drinks and biscuits and fruit, sometimes we play with the musical instruments and sing. The babies have their own space to see and feel and experiment with the toys with mum. Best of all there is glue, paint, paper etc to create a picture, play dough, puzzles, Duplo, books to enjoy. Come and join us!
