Windermere Guides, Brownies and Rainbows

The summer term has got off to a fantastic start! The Rainbows met up with others from the division for a Teddy bears' picnic at Brockhole, followed by a trip to the fire station in Windermere - many thanks to all the fire-fighters who helped.

The Brownies have been recording a special Mother's Day message on Lakeland Radio, a visit to an Italian restaurant, canoeing, Brownie fun day, and making a huge 81st Birthday Card for the Queen, and were very happy to receive a thank you letter from Buckingham Palace!

The Guides are going from strength to strength, enjoying fun activities, including a trip to The Big Gig in Manchester, St George's celebration, a treasure hunt and a fantastic animal activity evening where the Guides got the chance to hold snakes, lizards and huge spiders; even the leaders had a go! The new Rangers group have started well, and are working on a fundraising programme to provide something new in the community for young people.
