Windermere Town Council Election Results
The original WTC elections were due to take place on 3rd May, along with those for SLDC. Unfortunately, several councillors stood down after up to 25 years service. This resulted in an unprecedented situation in Windermere: with only 6 nominations submitted for 20 seats, the council was inquorate and no meetings could take place. New elections were schduled on the 14th June. Each of the four wards have five seats; there were 5 nominations for Applethwaite and Bowness North wards, 3 for Windermere Town and 7 for Bowness South, triggering an election in that ward.
