- Youth offenders to clean the area and repair various (seats, paint fences etc. Parents to be made aware if children are hanging around areas of concern. Dog fouling and litter fines imposed. Respond
- Public toilets are necessary but most people would be prepared to pay if it meant clean toilets. Pavements in town centre have to steep angles at crossings etc - dangerous for those who are unsteady. Respond
- Provide more litter bins in shopping areas and car parks. (and keep them emptied). Seating on the Glebe all the way round. Respond
- Environment - each year 600,000 cubic metres of untreated sewage and water are discharged into Bowness Bay. No more houses/hotel building should be permitted until this is solved. Respond
- Meals on Wheels and Day Centre. Clients are cut down to half or two-thirds of previous numbers and only really poorly people qualify. It should be borne in mind that there is a social aspect and morale consideration. Respond
- Many more elderly people need meals on wheels but numbers are being cut. Respond
- Is little sense of 'Community' - too diverse and individulaised. Young people do not have enough to do/places to go - but if provided they choose to go to 'doorways' or 'hidden places'. We need more inp0ut and are trying with new Youth Workers and thinking about alternative Youth Centre). Elderly people - many are lonely and vulnerable and repairs to council housing does not take their fragility into account. Respond
- More attention paid to the housebound. In the last 20 years there appears to be fewer young people in Ellerthwaite Square. Respond
- Older people should be enabled to stay in their own homes and be independent for as long as possible - not 'send them off' to a Nursing Home. Respond
- Community Wellbeing ok. Health Centre Excellent. The Hug is quite good and informative. Library - no complaints OK. Respond
- Improved reporting of local activities in Gazette and elsewhere is badly needed. Health and Library well catered for. Improve railway - is money available? Community proceed in sporty achievements needs to be targeted. Young people - real effort is required in this area. Every encouragement to be given to all organisations who are trying to improve things in the area. The hub is improving with each issue. Respond
- Special attention needs to be given to the challenge of developing a sense of community when so many people who work here can't live here and there are so many visitors, Lack of leisure facilities/resources for 14-18 age groups. Hub delivery is patchy. Possibility of pick up point in Bowness. Most community wide facilities are located in Wiindermere - few in Bowness. Respond
- Encourage and increase: First responders. Neighbourhood watch. Use Hub more. Respond
- Need a one stop shop perhaps at Library to get questions answered ref all the authorities. Need better facilities for young people - to meet/perhaps a coffee shop in Windermere but they would have to take responsibility for it. Leisure perhaps easier access to health and keep fit clubs for the elderly. More attempt to get community groups of residents to join in and look after areas (litter sweeping/maintenance of park areas etc). Respond
- Involvement in decision making. How well do committees work. A common perception that officers ignore views of community e.g traffic lights/roundabout near Windermere Hotel. All plans should be widely circulated and especially in Library for an extended period. Community well being - young people, Elderly people, Leisure facilities. How well communicating. Respond
- Community spirit poor - young community fail to visit the elderly. Lack of community between the elderly and housing for the elderly and their care. Lack of leisure facilities for the young and elderly community. Library facilities excellent. Respond
- Green & Sustainable. It’s a lovely place to live in and bring up your children and grandchildren. Good schools, good play areas, good walks. Respond
- Can Windermere have a market? Respond
- 600,000 cu meters of untreated sewage is discharged into Bowness Bay each year. Respond
- Council Street Cleaners? Sweepers. Bins very satisfactory. House rubbish collection is good and reliable. Respond
- Keep the lake speed limit at 10mph. Respond
- Our green public areas must be protected from developments. Respond
- All parishioners to be asked if they need a pilot to grow food. Respond
