- More affordable housing. Encourage local business's to stay in an area for a sustainable community. Make a vibrant area to encourage young families. Cheaper transport enabling to travel to work,. Respond
- Have a housing trust. Give employers more incentive to train young people. Respond
- Utilities - charges are excessive in the community. Housing a cheap source of insulation during winter seasons. Training - get youths interested in the village - incurable unqualified are able to be useful to the Community. Respond
- Youth offenders to clean the area and repair various (seats, paint fences etc. Parents to be made aware if children are hanging around areas of concern. Dog fouling and litter fines imposed. Respond
- Clamp down on anti social behaviour. Mobile CCTV to hot spots. Parking enforcement. Police to visit more schools. Active youth centres for those who cannot afford to take their children to expensive clubs or subsidise. Respond
- Children habitually play football in Ellerthwaite Gardens, disrupting the park seats and litter bin, including setting one on fire this week. There are three football pitches in the Windermere Parish. Respond
- Leisure facilities - we should be providing more free facilities for families, swimming should be free for children in the holidays. Birthwaite and Ellerthwaite Gardens should have more investment giving enjoyment at low cost. Young people - how about a youth council. Get them involved, they feel a sense of pride in where they live and have some great ideas. Community Action Group - why not set the above up to help provide the above. Respond
- Friendship is - Social Society. How can you break down social stigmas? All social leisure is good. Children have too little to occupy them - they say they are bored. Respond
- Need a directory of all the activities and organisations for young people locally - and make sure we get this very widely publicised. Respond
- The young have lots of energy and unless they are given good facilities which are kept up to date they will use up their energy on the streets. Respond
- Have a young person or two co-opted onto Town Council - or/and have a shadow 'Youth Town Council'. Respond
- Library - could it be open more days and have a larger selection of books like Kendal Library. Young People - they really need encouraging to be proud of their town. Health - There is a need for another Nursing Home in Windermere. Respond
- Town Council Notice Boards - why do they only show the agenda for meetings and never the minutes, It's no use just knowing what the Council are going to discuss - we should hear what was actually discussed as well. Why do young people expect to have places to go and things to do provided for the,. Why can't they entertain themselves at each others houses as my friends and I did when I was a teenager. Library - generally Ok but why should be pay for internet access. We don't, after all, pay to read the newspaper, magazines and books. Respond
- Make Library more a community resource. The Hub a useful community publication but more in Gazette (weekly) about local things on the local community pages, Young people need to be made to feel part of community - often resented which leads to alleviation. Health Centre an excellent local facility, but we need the hospital in Kendal to maintain the range of services. Lancaster - Barrow too distant. Good range of leisure facilities if sought out (+ A* environment!) but upgrade of Troutbeck Pool would be great. Respond
- Is little sense of 'Community' - too diverse and individulaised. Young people do not have enough to do/places to go - but if provided they choose to go to 'doorways' or 'hidden places'. We need more inp0ut and are trying with new Youth Workers and thinking about alternative Youth Centre). Elderly people - many are lonely and vulnerable and repairs to council housing does not take their fragility into account. Respond
- There is an attitude that young people should have entertainment/facilities provided. They should do more to help themselves. Respond
- Where are all the young people at this meeting - encourage them! Respond
- For the teenagers have a music night at the Ladyholme then ask what they want. Respond
- Hub is excellent! We need a nursing home in Windermere. All facilities (Bowness)/Windermere) for young people should be free especially during school holidays. Our Doctors surgeries are very good. Respond
- Improved reporting of local activities in Gazette and elsewhere is badly needed. Health and Library well catered for. Improve railway - is money available? Community proceed in sporty achievements needs to be targeted. Young people - real effort is required in this area. Every encouragement to be given to all organisations who are trying to improve things in the area. The hub is improving with each issue. Respond
- Engage with young people offer them some area that they can have as their own - ownership fostering responsibility. Respond
- Need a one stop shop perhaps at Library to get questions answered ref all the authorities. Need better facilities for young people - to meet/perhaps a coffee shop in Windermere but they would have to take responsibility for it. Leisure perhaps easier access to health and keep fit clubs for the elderly. More attempt to get community groups of residents to join in and look after areas (litter sweeping/maintenance of park areas etc). Respond
- Engage the youth. What is the legal position with private CCTV? Naming and Shaming. Respond
