- Need enhancements of library gardens. Better maintenance and drainage of Queens Park grassed areas. Lighting - needs improvement in an around Library Gardens, Marchesi, Broad Street toilets. Also need better lighting round School Knott Closem, Queen Park Rec - buildings. Respond
- Library - essential facility, not to be run down. Hopefully to modernise, if possible. The gounds are important too, well used and could be improved upon. Respond
- Abysmal the lack of evening time policing of Windermere. Town centre, library gardens, Broad Street. Persistent disorder, noise damage - fear of crime, people frightened to walk dogs etc in Library Gardens. CCTV public system should be supported and prioritised. Respond
- Please improve the books in the Library. A coat of paint would improve the atmosphere. Respond
- Library - under used as a resource - need for investment. Respond
- Library needs updating into 21st century - more internet provision, more reference books,. Respond
- Library - could it be open more days and have a larger selection of books like Kendal Library. Young People - they really need encouraging to be proud of their town. Health - There is a need for another Nursing Home in Windermere. Respond
- Town Council Notice Boards - why do they only show the agenda for meetings and never the minutes, It's no use just knowing what the Council are going to discuss - we should hear what was actually discussed as well. Why do young people expect to have places to go and things to do provided for the,. Why can't they entertain themselves at each others houses as my friends and I did when I was a teenager. Library - generally Ok but why should be pay for internet access. We don't, after all, pay to read the newspaper, magazines and books. Respond
- Make Library more a community resource. The Hub a useful community publication but more in Gazette (weekly) about local things on the local community pages, Young people need to be made to feel part of community - often resented which leads to alleviation. Health Centre an excellent local facility, but we need the hospital in Kendal to maintain the range of services. Lancaster - Barrow too distant. Good range of leisure facilities if sought out (+ A* environment!) but upgrade of Troutbeck Pool would be great. Respond
- Any changes to the Library must be focused on books, internet access. The Library must not be used for meeting rooms as there are mote than enough already - Marchesi, Ladyhome, Rayrigg, Pheonix. Respond
- Community Wellbeing ok. Health Centre Excellent. The Hug is quite good and informative. Library - no complaints OK. Respond
- Windermere Library could be much more used. Classes for various subjects could be held. IT classes ongoing and to various standards. Groups could used the room upstairs if the cost was not prohibitive. What happened to Goodly Dale's Community Centre? Respond
- Leisure - free swimming for local kids - holiday times. A trust fund to offer grants etc for local worthy sport and leisure facilities. Library needs book stock updating and more visitor facilities. Small permanent exhibition. Respond
- Improved reporting of local activities in Gazette and elsewhere is badly needed. Health and Library well catered for. Improve railway - is money available? Community proceed in sporty achievements needs to be targeted. Young people - real effort is required in this area. Every encouragement to be given to all organisations who are trying to improve things in the area. The hub is improving with each issue. Respond
- Open Library resources centre Wednesday 10am - 1pm. Act upon petitions and complaints not yet answered. Health - provide mains drinking water fountain in places of public resort, especially for children, ramblers, cyclists, and those who have drunk too much alcohol and need hydration. Respond
- Need a one stop shop perhaps at Library to get questions answered ref all the authorities. Need better facilities for young people - to meet/perhaps a coffee shop in Windermere but they would have to take responsibility for it. Leisure perhaps easier access to health and keep fit clubs for the elderly. More attempt to get community groups of residents to join in and look after areas (litter sweeping/maintenance of park areas etc). Respond
- More nursing homes needed. Communication - National Park members to be elected. More 'open' meetings - representatives of CCC, SLDC, Parish Councils - this one we are attending has proved to be useful. Leisure - Good strides made with Skate Park etc. Possibly more Youth Clubs. The Hub - very useful and informative, Library - good addition to the village, well stocked and informative. Respond
- Community spirit poor - young community fail to visit the elderly. Lack of community between the elderly and housing for the elderly and their care. Lack of leisure facilities for the young and elderly community. Library facilities excellent. Respond
