- Push for funds for Police in view of visitor numbers through the year should not be just resident numbers. Respond
- Troutbeck Bridge - never see a Policeman! We have no CCTV's either. There have been many burglaries in the past, i.e the pool, car thefts, break-ins. Respond
- More/better communication by the Constabulary re current issues - e.g levels of crime etc. Use of Gazette/The Hub or via local Societies/Committees. Respond
- Police in Windermere - how can visitors park safely in Windermere when vandals are allowed to damage cars and because of their age nothing is done. Respond
- Considering visitor numbers - Government support for extra Police - especially at night in Summer. Need for availability of CCTV. Respond
- Clamp down on anti social behaviour. Mobile CCTV to hot spots. Parking enforcement. Police to visit more schools. Active youth centres for those who cannot afford to take their children to expensive clubs or subsidise. Respond
- CCTV for the business areas. I fear burglary. What are we doing with the Magistrate's Court? Respond
- Monitored CCTV cameras should be installed - even dummy ones would help. Respond
- Policing - not enough bobbies on the streets. Where are they when the youths are messing up Queens Park? CCTV should be in car parks to prevent vandalism at night. Respond
- Policing - we need more visible policing within the village and on foot not riding round in cars. CCTV - could be put in to the Village Centre and Broad Street Car Park. Respond
- If they stopped wasting money on unnecessary illuminating road signs which duplicate existing signs - there might be more funding for additional policing. Respond
- Windermere Police Station to re-open. This village is too busy not to have it open. We do need more CCTV. Respond
- Police station - 24 hours manning. Respond
- Kevin Robson is a good copper - can get things changed. Queens Park needs policing due to mess left by youngsters. Respond
- Police back on the beat. Respond
- Police station closed. Never see a PC on patrol. In last 25 years never seen a Sergeant let alone Inspector in Bowness and Windermere. Respond
- Extra police patrols on foot would be of more useful. CCTV in any street just moves the problem to another street how many CCTV cameras do you envisage one on every street corner? Respond
- CCTV is not an acceptable alternative to proper policing. I would rather an assault were prevented than the attacker being watched on CCTV and arrested later. Respond
- Community policing - very good, residents like to see a police presence on the streets - not just in cars. Crime - would be better if Windermere Police Station was open/manned more frequently. Respond
- Having a policeman around keeps misbehavior down. No to general surveillance. We need sufficient staffing for the numbers of visitors to deter crime tourism and protect tourists. School/police liaison to combat drugs and truancy. Respond
- Need more police presence locally - on foot, around and about not in cars. Police station should be open always. No cameras please if possible, but if necessary in local hot spots only. Respond
- Cut backs not satisfactory. New community policeman to be as good as present one. Lady community police to be increased. CCTV to cover parks and known youth gathering points. Respond
- CCTV hopefully we won't have this in our streets. Police stations - this should be open 24/7, it is closed far too much. Police, redone all the road policing - done in the name 'safety' - Nonsense! Respond
- Sabot control. CID police required 24 hours to investigate all information received by the public. Windermere and Lake District suffers from over 2 million visitors and day trippers - many could be opportunists - inside information imperative. Respond
- Policing - we need to replace the officers that have left due to retirement etc; they are being pushed to their limits. Respond
- Policing & CCTV - Young people vandalize cars etc and run up streets knocking (hard) on doors and windows. CCTV could be useful, if affordable? But would only be the central area. We do see Community Police around more than before, which is good. Respond
- CCTV necessary to help fight crime. Increase funding for police from central government based on number of visitors we get not just resident population. Respond
- We should have CCTV cameras in our village centre. We need more bobbies on the beat especially around places where they young people meet. Respond
