- Troutbeck Bridge - never see a Policeman! We have no CCTV's either. There have been many burglaries in the past, i.e the pool, car thefts, break-ins. Respond
- Police in Windermere - how can visitors park safely in Windermere when vandals are allowed to damage cars and because of their age nothing is done. Respond
- The high profile robberies seem to take place in jewellery shops in Bowness (the publicity is not good for the area). Are the shop owners taking adequate precautions themselves? Is it their responsibility not to attract crime. Respond
- Revisit there issues of whether or not to prosecute those people who commit what is perceived as 'minor' crime e.g pick pockets, shop theft i.e taking such misdemeanors as serious in the long term. Respond
- Money for CCTV would be better spent on parking. Improve neighbourhood watch/shop watch schemes at much lower cost. Respond
- Youth offenders to clean the area and repair various (seats, paint fences etc. Parents to be made aware if children are hanging around areas of concern. Dog fouling and litter fines imposed. Respond
- Policing - not enough bobbies on the streets. Where are they when the youths are messing up Queens Park? CCTV should be in car parks to prevent vandalism at night. Respond
- Need public CCTV - a monitoring room plus volunteers to do the monitoring. Respond
- CCTV covering public areas would be a good deterant. Respond
- Abysmal the lack of evening time policing of Windermere. Town centre, library gardens, Broad Street. Persistent disorder, noise damage - fear of crime, people frightened to walk dogs etc in Library Gardens. CCTV public system should be supported and prioritised. Respond
- We have an ageing population help is needed to protect them from Crime, nusiance calls and anti-social behaviour. Respond
- Mess left in Queens Park by youngsters and also people putting bread down for the birds - i.e attracts vermin. Respond
- Sabot control. CID police required 24 hours to investigate all information received by the public. Windermere and Lake District suffers from over 2 million visitors and day trippers - many could be opportunists - inside information imperative. Respond
- Engage the youth. What is the legal position with private CCTV? Naming and Shaming. Respond
- Policing & CCTV - Young people vandalize cars etc and run up streets knocking (hard) on doors and windows. CCTV could be useful, if affordable? But would only be the central area. We do see Community Police around more than before, which is good. Respond
- Crime & Safety - Vandalism is on the increase. Many cars have been damaged in the last few months, shop windows broken. (CCTV required) Bowness and Windermere. Respond
- Ellerthwaite Gardens - This area really needs looking at, a youth culture has been born here. Residents feel intimidated, vulnerable and fear for their safety, anti social behaviour; alcohol, drugs and minority young people need addressing now, one tragedy will lead to another. Respond
