- Lighting - how about cutting the vegetation around the lighting and then we may know we have it. Bins - look messy and need washing. Dong urine - this needs addressing. Respond
- At a stoke the wheelie bins have ruined the appearance of our neighbourhoods. Some people have nowhere to store them so they're in back lanes; other people leave them in front gardens for convenience etc. Can't recall a blight like them - there needs to be some regulation. Respond
- SLDC should take action against people who have wheelie bins outside property. Residents should screen bins. Respond
- The litter left behind after the wheelie bins have been emptied should be cleaned by the road sweepers otherwise bits of food etc (and I have seen this) will attract rats. Respond
- Provision for storage (tidy) of wheelie bins - they are unsightly and people have nowhere to put them apart from at the front door/pavement. They look awful. Respond
- There should be a size of size standard as is now and small for people who are 1 and 2 in a household. Respond
- Why can't the refuse men collect the wheelie bins from where they used to be as bins instead of the eye sore of putting them on the street. Respond
- Please can the bin men be asked to walk up drives where elderly people live and wheel their bins for them to the wagon. Respond
- The grey bins are too big for a single occupant. The green bins are good if you have a big garden. Respond
- Litter bins unsightly - especially when placed by lane for collection on the Main Road or Streets. Respond
- Dog poo bags are awful - but don't know how the practice of leaving them everywhere can be stopped. Have smarter litter bins in Bowness. Have street schemes for recycling - rather than big wheelie bins for every house. Respond
- Can we do more to use less energy? Can Windermere and Bowness use more green energy? I am pleased that recycling collections have improved but it could be even better e.g cardboard/plastic. And what about hotels/shops - I see too much cardboard outside. Wheelie bins are unsightly but efficient. Could they be hidden? 1 x 2 weeks is fine. Will we collect food waste for an aerobic digester. Respond
- Don't want wheelie bins - they look ugly. Clean up the streets of litter. Respond
- Refuse - too many wheelie bins - unsightly. Empty public bins more often. Respond
- Approve of SLDC's efforts at recycling but wheelie bins large and awkward in terraced and small properties. Include cardboard in household collections. Parish 'lengthsman' to keep parks and hedges etc clear of rubbish. Strict enforcement of fly tipping penalties. Strict enforcement of dog fouling regulations. Respond
- Fines for people leaving wheelie bins in front of their property permanently. Respond
- Removal of litter bins through narrow streets or thought the houses.- - hampered by parked cars too close to the corner of the narrow street. Are those obliged to wheel the bin through the house on behalf of Windermere. Respond
